
Mr. Thompson attended college and law school at the College of William and Mary and obtained undergraduate and law degrees in 1980 and 1984. Mr. Thompson practices in the area of general litigation, with an emphasis in hospital law and products liability. He has represented hospitals and physicians throughout Kentucky since 1984, and tried more than 70 cases in Kentucky involving physicians, hospitals and product manufacturers. As National Counsel for healthcare providers, Mr. Thompson has represented hospitals in Idaho, Missouri, New Hampshire, Ohio, and West Virginia. He is experienced in all facets of health-related litigation and has represented physicians and large and small hospitals, including psychiatric facilities, in wrongful death claims, birth injury claims, and other serious personal injury claims in both state and federal courts. He is a past member of the Kentucky Bar Association’s House of Delegates, the Kentucky Academy of Hospital Attorneys, the Kentucky Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.
