Michael J. Bender, Partner

Michael has over fifteen years of experience in civil litigation.

His primary practice areas are product liability defense and long term care defense. He is admitted to practice law in all courts within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He has been admitted pro hac vice in federal and state courts located in Ohio, Tennessee, Georgia, Nevada, California, and Oregon.

Originally from Iowa, Michael graduated magna cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa in 1998, with a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education. He graduated cum laude from Creighton University Law School in 2007. During law school, Michael was on the Editorial Staff of the Creighton Law Review and he was a member of the Moot Court Competition.

Before joining Thompson Miller & Simpson, Michael served in the United States Air Force for six years. He was stationed at Langley AFB, Virginia and Travis AFB, California.
